Is there a good side and bad side? Or how does it work?

What are we fighting for? Are we fighting at all? Did I missed the plotline?

You didn't miss the plotline. There's just... no plotline yet. Not much ideas for one. And I guess it can be a free-for-all about the "sides". You can join a group who fights for good, for evil, who collects artifacts, bounty hunters, etc. Unless you specifically says so, I don't think there is a "bad" or a "good" side. Sure, some people will automatically fight against each other, but they don't have to be good or bad. It can be 2 people after the same bounty or person. Does this answer your questions?
